The Long Wait is Over

Barely two years after the controversy between Kim-Ge fans and their disagreements on the supposed to be movie project of Sarah and Gerald, Sarah Geronimo formally announced that the movie will push through. This was on the latter part of 2010.

Both of them went through their own difficult times. Gerald was involved in a stir between Bea Alonzo and the Kimerald fans. It was reported that Bea and his family received threats from the fans, though there was no formal confirmation on the said report. Sarah on the other hand faced a controversy involving Cristine Reyes and Rayver Cruz. Cristine posted nasty tweets regarding a celebrity whom she dislikes. Both Sarah and Gerald didn't give statements on the controversies they faced. They decided to keep their mouth shut as a sign of respect and privacy.

The two stars kept themselves busy with the movie project that they did.

Sarah, Gerald and their long waited team-up

It was on the middle part of 2009 when a scoop pertaining to a possible Sarah-Gerald team-up came out. Kris Aquino was quoted on The Buzz talking about the two young stars' possible movie to be produced by Viva Films and Star Cinema. On the said part of the show, she mentioned that Boss Vic del Rosario, Viva Films' Executive and Sarah's Manager, is interested of producing a movie for the two.

However before even formal talks between the two camps pushes through, fans of Kim Chui-Gerald Anderson tandem or more popularly known as Kimeralds begged off for the said project. Given the harsh response of the fans, Sarah herself dispelled the rumor about the said poject.

But who would've think that after barely two years a movie was made and the rest is history! ♥

Sarah Geronimo : The Popstar Princess

That girl will go far. She’s only 14, right? For someone like Sarah, for the first time she appears and acts in a film, she's good. Maybe some people have high expectation on her but for me she's good    -  Maricel Soriano

She is a breath of fresh air in terms of wholesome image, humility, real talent and source of good news for the Philippine entertainment industry     -  Wilson Flores

The personality of her voice is phenomenally distinct. Many have great voices but they tend to imitate foreign divas like Mariah Carey or Whitney Houston. She definitely is the biggest talent I have come across with in the last ten years...     -  Christian de Walden
